Let’s Marvin Gaye and get it on!

Oh no! Not another blog about Meghan Trainor. Hehehe Well, part of! I should be writing about this 2 weeks ago, but I was busy with leaving my job and was on holiday (more like lazy period of a week).

Around 2 months ago on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” radio show, Charlie Puth said he wrote a sex song. lol Maybe I wasn’t really paying attention to it but at least I think that’s what he said. Around 2 weeks ago I was in the taxi with my friend after our badminton session at the court and the song was on the radio. I must have heard of it somewhere else but somehow forgot about it. This time I pulled out my Xperia phone and used “TrackID” app to find out what song it is. And tada! I got the name of the song and the artist. When I got home, I found it on YouTube and here is the official music video…..

I don’t know who Charlie Puth is, but I do know Meghan Trainor (well, not personally). My first impression of the song is that it reminds me of this one song in a scene from the movie “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”. I hope you already have seen the movie! If not, see it ASAP! Anyway, this scene was funny and sexy. (WARNING: The video below might spoil part of the movie – they’re talking in Russian anyway so you won’t know what they were saying unless you speak Russian or seen the movie).

Don’t you just love Armie Hammer?! hehe OKAY! Back to the topic. I like everything in the “Marvin Gaye” song especially the lyrics. It’s just so sexy and also cute! “Let’s Marvin Gaye and get it on” sounds like a cheesy pickup line? I’m not a native speaker and I still don’t know why I’m understanding this phrase without google it. I don’t even listen to Marvin Gaye’s song! My friend who spent a year in the Europe doesn’t even know the meaning. Charlie singing this with Meghan makes it sexier as man and woman are trying to “get it on”. hehe

If you have any suggestions the same type of music, feel free to let me know. It doesn’t have to be sexy, though. 😉

Until next time….
